And now...!! I've found some perfect little notebooks! Well made, neat, square, black notebooks. An ideal foil for raggy edged collages with muted colours, worn prints and lots of rustic charm.
To celebrate this exciting new line, I'd like to give a little notebook away!
It doesn't have to be of a vegetable persuasion.....it could be butterflies or moths.
Or indeed, birds. But I haven't quite finished those yet.
UPDATE! Some birds...
Just 'Like' our Facebook page and leave a comment below saying which theme you would like and what other designs you'd like to see. We'll use you for a bit of market research and randomly pick one of you to receive a notebook featuring the imagery of your choice. Not necessarily one of the actual ones pictured, but equally smashing. Promise.
These are lovely and so sorry that I missed the last one but I've only been following you on Facebook for a short while. My favourite out of the above has to be the pea pods - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for other designs ...how about sea shells/ammonites ....?
Thanks Sally, the pea pods are my favourite too!
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestions. I've used ammonites a lot in other lines and love their form. I was playing around with an image of one yesterday but decided it was too small and I need to print a new one out. I've got some great images of shells too so they're a definite possibility!
I want to like you but jealousy is a hard Master.
ReplyDeleteOoh, it's finally got into my little head. I think I would like a grasshopper
DeleteThank you so much Siobhan, that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me! I certainly know that feeling. I see so much beautiful stuff out there that I wish was in my name!
ReplyDeleteGird your loins, share your favourite design and what theme you'd like on your ideal notebook and you never know....one could be yours!
I LOVE the moth one.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything for you to add your collection (thinking hat on.). I love your work so will keep an eye out to see what you come up with.
I am gutted i missed the earier giveaway.
{Dab and a dash.}
Thanks Lorna, your support is always much appreciated!
Deleteooo you've added some birds!!
DeleteAbsolutely adore the moth one - would love that! Your work is always gorgeous though so anything would be awesome if I was lucky enough to win! As for ideas for additions to your collection? I think that mirrors with your gorgeous styling on the frame and possibly brooch style additions on the actual glass would look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kirsty, your comments are always so generous and much appreciated. Love the idea of mirrors! Decorating the frames would be great, and I've also got an image in my head of quite old silvered glass with images showing through from behind. I've tended to steer clear of things that would be more difficult to post but maybe it's time to bite the bullet!
DeleteHello, I'm addicted to notebooks, and these are gorgeous, they all look great but if I was lucky enough to win I'd like one of the vegetables so I can keep notes about my allotment activities. As for ideas what about a kitchen themed range for people to write recipes in, old fashioned egg timers, weights and scales that sort of thing?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love the idea of a kitchen notebook range! I've got an old image of a lemon squeezer and other fabulous items of kitchenalia and some amazing desserts that I've been trying to find an outlet for! Coming soon.....
DeleteThe pea pod is lovely. My suggestion, (not the right time of year for it but....)is those chinese lantern plants, but in autumn when there is just skeleton around the seed - I think they are beautiful but have never found anything using them in the design, also you can wrong with a pine cone, isn't nature amazing.... e. a. x (forgotton my folksy sign in so don't have url aaargh - just liked you on face book though - so traceable ;))
ReplyDeleteThanks Ed, the peas are certainly the most popular design so far!
ReplyDeleteSkeleton leaves really are beautiful, I love it when hydrangea flowers do it too. I get a lot of my inspiration from the wonders of the natural world and gardening and walking are an important part of my creative time. I have had requests for skeleton leaves on my jewellery, but didn't feel they worked in that format. I think these notebooks could be a much better vehicle to tie them into my style so thank you for your suggestion!
Oooo I love the butterfly one, although the moth is equally as nice! As for other ideas, this is probably going to sound silly but maybe a money or post theme? With stamps/notes and such :) Its only because I love a little notebook to keep my sales and stamp numbers in, makes it a lot less of chore if you have to write it in a nice notebook ;)
ReplyDeleteLeanne x x
Hmmm, I like that idea, Leanne - it doesn't sound silly at all! I'm thinking pens or pencils too. Consider it noted and on the list. Thank you for your contribution!
ReplyDeleteThey are all gorgeous but I think my favourite is the birds xx
ReplyDeleteHuge bird fan so I would mose defiantly go for the bird one. Ideas, um I know a lot of people are liking words & sayings something like 'if friends were flowers I'll pick you' can of thing & that would be prefect for gifts.
